This debt abolition was made possible through the generosity of people who chose to support the work of The Great Physician Project - people who gave so that someone they may never meet could experience the freedom that comes when a financial burden is lifted.

You were on someone's heart when they gave.

But as powerful as that is, there's an even greater truth.

Just like the financial debt you could not repay, there is a spiritual debt that every one of us carries - a debt caused by sin. It separates us from God, and it's one that we could never pay off on our own, no mater how hard we may try.

But God, in His love, made a way.

He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay that debt in full.

Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross in our place and rose from the grave so that anyone who believes in Him can be completely forgiven, restored, and made new.

Just like your medical debt, this isn't something that you earned. It's not something you worked off. It's a gift.

"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

How the Great Physician's Project Works

1. People Give

Individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations can support The Great Physician Project by making contributions designated for medical debt abolition.

2. Undue Medical Debt Identifies Qualifying Debt

The Great Physician Project does not determine which individual accounts qualify for abolition. Undue Medical Debt identifies qualifying debt portfolios that are available for acquisition and determines which accounts meet its eligibility requirements.

3. Undue Medical Debt Acquires and Abolishes the Debt

Undue Medical Debt acquires qualifying medical debt and abolishes that debt according to its established processes and eligibility requirements. Individuals whose qualifying debt has been abolished receive communication directly from Undue Medical Debt.

The Great Physician Project does not independently purchase, select, administer, or forgive individual medical debt.

The Great Physician Project does not receive any communications to the identities of any individuals who have had their medical debt abolished.

When the Debt is Gone

For someone carrying medical debt, receiving notice that the debt has been abolished can be life changing.

The communication confirming the abolition of qualifying debt comes directly from Undue Medical Debt.

There are two ways you can support this work:

Medical Debt Elimination

When you designate your gift for Medical Debt Elimination, your contribution is designated specifically for The Great Physician Project and supports the project's efforts to fund the abolition of qualifying medical debt through Undue Medical Debt.

If your desire is to help eliminate medical debt, you can give specifically to Medical Debt Elimination. You are not required to make a separate contribution to Open Doors Ministries, Inc.

Ministry & Operations

We also welcome gifts designated for Administrative Operations of Open Doors Ministries, Inc. These gifts help provide resources needed to operate, market, communicate, and continue The Great Physician Project and the broader ministry of Open Doors Ministries, Inc.

Your designation matters. Unless a gift is specifically designated for administrative Operations of Open Doors Ministries, Inc. contributions made for Medical Debt Elimination are designated for that purpose.
